A doctor and a dentist, co-founders
Mia was founded by two clinicians who wanted the dental healthcare partner they could not find themselves. Built together, owned together, a South African family business.
Dr Zane Stenning
Co-founder, CEO
Dr Zane Stenning is the doctor who co-founded Mia with Dr Karishma Soni, driving strategy, partnerships and the relationships that connect Mia to global frameworks, including the Dental Entrepreneur Organisation (DEO), where Mia is the only African partner accepted. He leads the executive side of a South African family business built by working clinicians: SA-rooted, institutionally backed, and operated with a direct line to leadership for partners and prospects. As CEO, Zane shapes Mia’s growth across aligners, mobile clinics and practice services, always with the founding conviction that healthcare partnerships should be built by the people who practice it.
Dr Karishma Soni
Co-founder, Chief Dental Officer
Dr Karishma Soni is the dentist behind Mia’s clinical standard, the co-founder who sets the bar for care across the Mia clinical group, from aligners and chair-side dentistry to the teams that deliver Mia at Work and practice services. She built Mia alongside Dr Zane Stenning as a South African family business: clinician-led, SA-owned, and focused on the partner clinicians and patients couldn’t find elsewhere. As Chief Dental Officer, she keeps clinical quality, governance and the day-to-day dental standard consistent across every vertical in the group.
