Practice acquisition

Key questions before you talk numbers.

Straight answers for owners exploring value, timing and partnership with Mia — without the jargon or pressure.

The questions owners ask first.

Do I have to stop practising if I sell?
No. Mia’s model is built so owners can unlock value and keep doing the dentistry they love — continuity for patients and teams matters.
Why does Mia talk about “service first”?
Because trust is earned in the operating relationship. A service period lets both sides prove fit before any acquisition decision.
Who evaluates my practice?
Conversations are clinician-led. You’ll speak with Practice Services operators who understand SA billing, schemes and multi-location realities.
How long does a typical process take?
Timelines vary by practice complexity and your readiness. The first step is always a peer call — not a rushed LOI.
Is Mia South African?
Yes. Mia is a family-run, South African healthcare group — the only African partner accepted into the Dental Entrepreneur Organisation (DEO).
What should I prepare for a first call?
A sense of your timeline, what you want to keep doing clinically, and the operational pain points you want help with. Numbers can come later.
